Homemade Casual Huaraches

After reading so much about them I finally decided to make a pair for myself.I ordered a big sheet of Vibram Cherry 4 mm sole rubber online (www.footcaresupply.com)and for the lacing I used 4mm utility cord from REI.I made these just for a casual wear at places I do not go barefoot (pretty much just restaurants, stores and public buildings). I just could not stand ZEMs (too hot) and flip-flops (scrunched toes) anymore.I am not planning to run trails in them since I only run barefoot but will be taking them on my runs as emergency shoes.Worked out pretty good and I really like them.

Ditto! Look like mine, but I use and alternate tying method, since I don't like the feeling between the toes or the knot underneath.

Looks like you did a nice neat job of cutting the material. I struggled with that a bit, just using regular scissors.
