We Tennesseans have run a hill, or two, or three...on our last run, and the previous run and so on. I'm so thankful to have these great learning opportunities.

When I run up hillsI think about trying to keep my body balanced, keep lifting my feet with short quick strides. It's so tempting to lean into the hill, leaning above the waist, which is why I call them learning opportunities for good technique. I try not to lean forward above the waist. I try to stay vertical. It feels like I'm riding a unicycle up the hill. I feel like that little mountain climber on "The Price Is Right".
