HERITAGE TRAIL This gravel based, shared-use trail six mile trail (out and back) in Camas is located on the west side of Lacamas Lake and Lacamas Creek. It provides superb opportunities to view birds, rock formations and waterfalls, along with offering picnicing stops, extensive waterfront access, boat launch, and a children's play center. Clark County and Camas own the interconnected trail meandering through old growth trees, native plants and wildflowers - some paved, some primitive. There is ample parking at the south end of the trail at Heritage Park. There is a small parking area at the north end of the trail, off Goodwin Road. Restrooms are located at the beginning and end of the trail.

The trail itself is a mix of light gravel, dirt and stone. The stone part of the trail is only about 1/2 mile long but it is relatively sharp stone and tough for me to get through quickly barefoot. The trail is mostly flat with some small hills in the middle. This is a hugely popular trail for runners and walkers and you meet a lot of nice people here!

Across the road from start of the trail is Round Lake. This area offers some excellent trails around the Round Lake and associated receation area. Most trails around this lake are dirt and light gravel and there is a fair amount of hills to work on ascend / descend form.
