Well, it's been a long time. Let's try it. A group run before the end of the year. I need the following information:

#1. General availability - days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, etc. Since the holidays are coming up - if you are unavailable for blocks of time, tell me what those are.

#2. How long in mileage and in time? Maximum distance, maximum time.

    #3. Trail or pavement?

    #4. Where?

    Ready...GO!

Very very very slight chance I'll be down that way and have time to run December 6th... don't plan around that cause it's not likely I'll have to time to get away from the family, but maybe...

What part of town will you be staying in? If we come super close to you - maybe you can sneak out! Say you are going to the bathroom and come run with us!

So, so far we have Christy for a group run? And....? Chris? And....John liked Christy's post, does that mean you are interested, too, John?

Just a heads up about me - I am not to be counted in group runs, generally speaking. So the "group" in "group runs" has to be counted by the members only. And, specifically, right now, I am starting a new job, and two internships, simultaneously -so you can count me out for a good month. This probably does not matter a whole lot with the holidays coming up.

Which brings up a good question - how many people should we consider to have a group run, for? I like to say four, because statistically one will not make it. That leaves three. So, you guys tell me. If there are just two - is that enough of a group for you?

So these are my initial thoughts about a group run. I know Janson said not to plan around his day - but I think we should try for one group run on Dec. 6th, near him, in the hopes of confiscating him. How would December 6th work for people?

Then, my next thoughts are, how about a New Year's Eve/Day run? That way it is after the craziness of the holidays, well, mostly. And people might be more available. Thoughts?

I think that four is the minimum number of commitments you need for a group run to be definitely on. I have found it a little awkward if you go with three and then one doesn't make it :(

    1. Dec 6 afternoon works for me. I'm out of town Dec 21 through Jan 5.
    2. I'm good for 3 miles or 40 minutes.
    3. I'll do either, but prefer pavement.
    4. prefer SE Portland but will go farther

Well, hello there! I am going to post this as an event -there is a park in Milwaukie some of us have met at before that is right next to the Springwater Corridor - paved trail. We can have fun getting run over by bicyclists! :)
