Grand Canyon and Zion

Had some fabulous hikes last week.

Grand Canyon - South Kaibab trail down to Bright Angel campground, staying one night, taking Bright Angel trail up the next day. All barefoot. Nice weather, a couple of thunderstorms and some heavy rain. South Kaibab trail was all muddy. Sunnier the next day going up but not too hot.

Zion - Hiking up to Angel's Landing, barefoot.

Zion NP - hiked 3 hours into The Narrows and turned back. Barefoot.

Angel's Landing is awesome to hike barefoot. Probably my favorite barefoot hike ever!

While my son and I were heading down, barefoot, we met another couple coming up the same way.

That's my son on the right, and the couple on the left.

What a wondrous and beautiful place to hike barefoot, Paraganek!

Ahcuah, what are the odds?!?!?!?!

Nice ! You got lucky, I did not see a single barefoot person the whole week.
Angel's Landing sure was awesome to hike barefoot, a couple of hours on that sandstone with the fine sand on top really cleaned up my soles from all that old dirt embedded deep into the skin I was not able to get rid of any other way.
