Women's footwear -- Data from the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) report on women's athletic footwear purchases indicates females continue to increase their share of total footwear purchases. In 2010, females purchased 59.9% of all pairs of athletic footwear. In 2009, they purchased 55.6% of all athletic footwear pairs; and in 2008, 54.7%.
