I thought about getting a pair of Altras to work in, but ultimately decided on Xero. I ordered a pair of their hiking boots. The Altras are just too cushioned for me.
The article doesn't say, but I wonder which company told them that they would change their designs over a couple of decades so consumers wouldn't notice that they've had it wrong this whole time? I guess it's good that the major shoe companies at least are aware that their designs are crap.
