any floridian barefoot runners? I need secrets on how to fight the heat of this damn sun!
No doubt! It was 90+ degrees
No doubt! It was 90+ degrees when I headed out at 4:00 p.m. I was doing great for the first 3.5 miles, then the last 1.5 miles was rough. The neuromas in my feet were swelling from the heat coming from the asphalt. At least the asphalt wasn't blistering hot though 'cuz I ran in the shade most of the way. I'm going to have a rough time this summer. I can tell now. I think the winter allowed me to run because the cold, frigid, frozen ground kept the neuromas in my feet from swelling. Sorry for rambling...
This will be my first

Yep, run early or run late.
Only other solution is to put on footwear if you must run in the heat.
