First BF run today!

Hi. I'm 47, been running in minimalist shoes since March 2010.

Today, after 7 months, I moved to actual bare feet running. Did a nice 3.5 miles around a field near my home. Still pretty tenderfooted, at least on gravely areas I had to tiptoe. Places where vehicles had packed the gravel I could walk normally. I was worried that 59ºF the temp would be too cold. But I didn't get cold feet! I'm so proud of myself! Nothing hurts! Whodathunkit?!

Welcome, Chris. Lots of short runs/walks barefoot with a good amount of downtime in between (at least half a day for me) to allow my feet to process the wear seems to be working well for me as I also am transitioning to more barefoot.
