Not good enough, we have to separate the kitten lovers from the mutants. No hiding behind a poll with this one. ;) Full marks for owning up!:)

The thread started because my niece and nephew brought me a hamper for christmas and neglected to tell me that the innocent tube of chilli paste that came with it was just neat crushed scotch bonnets. Never trust a teenager.
I would rate myself as b but only with emergency loo roll place in the fridge for the next morning:inpain:

I seem to remember a similar thread a couple of years ago - but descriptive rather than choice options. I remember at the time saying that if it didn't burn the next day, it wasn't hot enough today!

Having said that -last night went to an Indian Restaurant and asked for my chicken Jal Fraize to be "spicy." The phrase "be careful what you ask for -you might just get it" immediately came to mind when I ate it. My wife had great delight watching me sweat like crazy and consume much wine and naan bread to lessen the sting. Maybe my tolerance getting lower as I age. So my choice now is "b".

I felt like this when a bet at work involving dried red chillies went horribly wrong, the worst £10 I ever made but arose the chilli champion:woot:

Agreed, the definition of spicy is definitely open to interpretation, oh the pleasure chefs must have when they receive and order to spice up the cauldron, rubbing there hands as the wine bill rises.:)

Just found chart of pepper heat, and disappointed to find that the scotch bonnet is only 5th on the list. The Trinidad Scorpion wins the day, i'm pretty sure you'd spontaneously combust just by looking at it.

    b for me too...
Perhaps in the past, accompanied with a few preparatory beers, I'd have gone straight to an a...
    Reckon that about covers it!:(...

I almost couldn't stand to watch that dude choke to death. ;)

I have a seriously funny video of my son and his friend gagging on some peppers...can't remember what they're called at the moment.

Between "a" and "b", leaning closer to "b". My friend grows habaneros and ghost peppers, I get about 2 dozen each year.

I do eat them, but 2 dozen is pretty much a lifetime supply, so I smoke them and dehydrate them and crush up and put in a shaker along with some dried /smoked jalapenos and whatever other peppers he gives me. Makes a excellent medley of hell!!
