A BIG thank you to all that turned up to run in the FIRST ever International Barefoot Runners Day run in Brighton. If you were there you will know how well attended it was and how pleased I am with the way it all went.

For those of you that didnt make it, here are a few numbers for you.

    86 - Entries in total (1k & 5k)

    38 - Ran in the 5k

    23 - Ran the 1k

    61 - Ran in total

    25 - Were a no show

Due to the ammount of bank holidays crossing this event, I was realy struggling for marshals, hence the lack of information on finishing times and positions. Thank you to those of you that did marshal or for bringing someone else to do it.

Most of all. Thank you to all that ran and made the past 2 months of panic, sweat, sleepless nights and trips from Nottingham to Brighton all worth wile. Brighton is a happening place and continues to lead the way in all things new. A big pat on the back for all of you.

    Hi Martyn,

Had great fun on Sunday and the kids loved it. Nice to see so many like minded people out there running and well done for organising the event. The weather was beautiful and it felt like a real barefoot family affair. Can't wait for next year and hope to bring more of the family down next time, although that would mean hiring a bus as I had a seven seater this time.

Well done and hope to see you all again soon

I'd like to re-iterate a thanks from me too.

Had a great day – made the weekend for me. Whole event was friendly and fun, how running should be.

Happy to give more of a hand at the next one (?).

    Cheers,

Many thanks to all those who helped to make this event happen.

It was a wonderful, happy and informal family event which will help to promote the benefits of barefoot excercise.

I hope that it also raised some charity money.

It showed me how much work I need to do before the India barefoot half marathon later this year........
