Best running scenes in movies?

I'm sure there's not a lot of

I'm sure there's not a lot of people here (if any!) who have seen Remo Williams. Their is a scene where he is training with old Chinese guy (Joel Grey) and they're running on the beach. At first you hear his footsteps and as the camera pans out the sound disappears and so do his footprints in the sand. :)

If you haven't seen it, it's a pretty funny movie from the 80's. There are a few one liners in it that always make me smile.

Woody Allen's run (though

Woody Allen's run (though dorky) was amazing in Manhattan, at the end, when he got to say goodbye to that young chick. Same with Michael Cane running to meet a girl "by accident" in Hannah and her Sisters...can you tell I'm a Woody Allen fan!?

I just saw Point Break the other day and there's a great chase scene where Keanau Reeves is running after a guy through the alley...goes on forever...Like a car chase but running instead. Otherwise, it's an awful movie. Oh well. I love it so.

OH,

How about the chase scene at the beginning of Casino Royale!? Lots of gymnastics thrown into that one though...hm.

Barefoot Mary, we must get

Barefoot Mary, we must get together and watch some flicks. Casino Royale is one of the only bearable bond movies, especially because of that scene. But Hannah and her Sisters and Terminator 2? Two. of. my. favorite. movies. EVER!!! (scream like a 13 year old girl)

Ok, I'm going to post the running/smoking scene from Body Heat, just as soon as I can figure out how to edit it out of the whole movie file.

Ahh Stomper, I have a worse

Ahh Stomper, I have a worse taste in movies than you think.

Me and my husband have a movie group that gets together monthly to watch old episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000. It's like our own little cult.

My favorite bad movie ever has to be Iron Man 2. No...Road House! So awful...gosh...I think I'll go and watch those movies right now! Lol.

Just watched Tangled with the

Just watched Tangled with the kids today, Rapunzel was barefoot the whole movie!! It was awesome :)

I was watching Princess

I was watching Princess Mononoke with the kids and at the beginning the girls running away from the demon/monster are wearing awesome huarache-style sandals and calf compression sleeves. So cool!

The Incredibles, when Dash

The Incredibles, when Dash runs accross the water! Ever since those stupid Zipps commercials of the 80s made those kids look like they could run like lightning, I've wanted to be that fast!

I like the running in The Marine, cause John Cena is a big guy and I'll never be one of these stick figures, even if I get to 8-10% body fat!

The chase scene in Ong-Bak, the Thai Warrior. Tony Jaa is the man!

Bloodsport, the scene where

Bloodsport, the scene where JCVD runs away from the agents. Because, well, how badass is JCVD?

I'd throw Rocky and Run Fatboy Run on but others already have. And I can't argue with all the running Tenant does as The Doctor.

And Luke out jogging with a green Muppet strapped to his back. How could everyone forget their Jedi training?

Some very good ones there.

Some very good ones there. It's not a film but a music video, but my favorite is Editors 'Papillon' - imagine the impact on those heals! Still gets me going though.

Ian Charleson as Eric Liddell

Ian Charleson as Eric Liddell running the 400 meters in the 1981 movie Chariots of Fire. The bigger story in Chariots of Fire is that Eric Liddell is running for the glory of G-d. He refused to run the 100 meters on Sunday, and a fellow runner gave him his place in the 400 meter on a later day. That scene of Eric running made tears run down my face.

My wife and I saw that movie in the theater. I had not seen any trailers before so didn't expect it, but I noticed her barefoot running immediately.

The movie was quite mediocre so that scene made it a little bit better.

"Where the Red Fern Grows"

"Where the Red Fern Grows" has some good BF action!
