Just received an email from the ITU that barefoot running (totally barefoot) is now acceptable and will not cause a DSQ result! I've emailed them back with thanks and I asked them why the change of heart. Will follow up when I get more information

This is huge for barefoot running though. I remember our talking about it here in past years.
I suspect that my source on FB and Horseman are one and the same? This topic is getting a lot of posting
