[Aug 9, 2014] International #barefootparkrun Day (Spanish Venue) (Parque del Retiro)

In support of UK parkrunner BarefootLeah, who has pledged to do her first ever barefoot parkrun on this day, we have designated 9th August 2014 as International #barefootparkrun Day.

We are encouraging all BRS members to leave their VFFs, Sockwas, Xero Sandals or whatever minimalist shoes they might run in to leave them at home on this day, and join other barefoot parkrunners at their local parkrun.

Let's see how many reports of barefoot runners we can get in parkrun reports all over the UK and the rest of the world for this day! (Plans are already in place for barefoot runners to run at parkruns in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Australia, Poland and now Spain on this day.)

Please note that this event is a run in the park, not an actual parkrun. Bien hecho amigos!
