    WHAT:
Ken Bob's Regular and Irregular Run/Walk
A few miles, more or less - depending on time, enthusiasm, weather, etc.
Not a race - unless you and your friend want to race.
Just an easy and leisurely Run/Walk with friends in a beautiful place.

    Ken Bob's Play-Fun-Shop
Learn to Run and/or walk easily, gently, and gracefully

    WHEN:
    Regular Run/Walk:
Saturdays at 10AM, Huntington Beach CA
Arrive early - we begin on-time

    Play-Fun-Shop:

    http:/Contact.BarefootRunning.com

    TERRAIN:
Trails in daylight, or lighted and paved multi-use path, or soft sand, or, depending on tide, hard-pack low-tide Run/Walk, or a slow meander on the Sunset Beach greenbelt with PsychoKay.com - including the "architectural tour": highlights: the Water Tower Home (rent for $3500/week), and the Sand Castle (once listed for $10 million)

    WHERE:
    The Old Same Place
Near Warner near Pacific Coast Highway

It's about convincing millions of lazy people (like myself) to Run and/or Walk a few miles a few times a week.
We're meeting here all year round (unless I'm out of town or busy)
Parking may be a bit more difficult in the summer.
Show up early and enjoy the beach.
The weather is nice, usually between 60F and 80F.

    TRANSPORTATION:
Walk, Run, or Bike (take the Huntington Beach, Ca. Beach Bike path the north end of Bolsa Chica State Beach
    Bus (OCTA Warner-Pacific Bus Stop - Routes 1, 21, 70, 72 )

Hi Ken! It's Maya - long time no see! I hope things are well with you (and Herman too). I took a hiatus from running for a while thanks to commute-itis and new puppy distractions, but I'm running again and it feels great.
Do you ever run on Sundays? I have a fitness class every Saturday morning that I can't change, but I'd love to run on Sunday with you - and anyone else - on a regular or irregular basis.

Good to hear from you again Maya.

Yes we could do a run on a Sunday, or any evening. Currently I have a crick in my neck, but you're welcome to join PsychoHerman and myself for a long walk sometime - anytime. Just need to schedule a few days in advance to make sure Herman isn't otherwise busy.

Oh no - the crick in the neck! Well, considering I am starting back up after a long break, I need to start slowly so walking is good too. In fact, I just pulled out your book the other day to give myself a refresher course.

Would next Sunday, Nov. 22 work for you for a pre-turkey week turkey trot/walk?

Sure. What time would you like to meet up? Bernard is recovering from a torn meniscus, so also might be interested in an easy walk. Adrian also mentioned he cannot meet on Saturdays, so I will let them both know after you select a time for Sunday. Weather should be fine anytime high of 75, low in the early morning 52.

What time would be good for you on Sunday? I've got a few other folks interested suddenly!

Yay, that's awesome there's more folks interested! I am happy to do any time at all on Sunday. Mid-morning is always good - 9 or 10 - but if anyone else has schedule constraints, we can let them dictate schedule. Just tell me when and I will be there!

Hey, sometimes it gets down in the low 50s, or even 40s ;-)

Ken, yes! I will be there at noon Sunday - I RSVP'd on the other thread. Thanks!
And it's true - it has been in the 40s here in Long Beach (at night). As wimpy as it is, when I walk the dogs at 6am and its 50 degrees or colder, I wear my maximalist shearling boots and a down jacket... I admire those with the fortitude to participate in the winter barefooting challenge!
