Article: The US Air Force Takes Note of BFR

Good job spreading the word, Victor.

BTW ... "An officer for Air Force Space Command" - wow. That's one of the coolest job titles I've ever heard!

Superb article. All three servicemen interviewed for this article are friends of the BRS. Way to go, guys!

It was a lot of fun doing this interview. It felt a little funny/awkward when the freelance photographer was taking snapshots - he must have taken 4 or 5 hundred photos! I'm disappointed Military Times won't let us reproduce the article though. Oh well, it has generated a lot of interest from my fellow military personnel. I'm looking forward to the running clinic I'm putting on Tuesday. I don't expect a lot of participation since I only gave people six day's notice.

Looking at the Marine Corps Times, http://www.marinecorpstimes.com/offduty/sports/offduty_barefoot_032210w/, it appears that the article has been syndicated. I would assume that the other branches' publications are running it too. Very cool. This is teriffic exposure for the sport.

Edit - Links to the other branches running the article:

Navy Times - http://www.navytimes.com/offduty/sports/offduty_barefoot_032210w/

Actually, Military Times Publishing Company, once known as the Army Times Publishing Company, is the parent of all of these newspapers. They publish the Air Force Times, The Army Times, Navy Times, etc. and all share the same "Off Duty" section. It definitely makes for very broad exposure! I was a little unnerved when I realized how wide of an audience the article might reach - I did not realize before that this Off Duty section was identical in all the publications. Still, it's a weekly publication, so the memory of this article will fade quickly.
