Thank you for sharing this! It is inspiring and a good reminder of just what the pleasures of distance running are. I used to run marathons- never did ultras though, but in shoes and due to injuries had to stop running almost 20 years ago.. and today, I am starting to run again, but barefoot and LOVING it.. and my first day out was able to do 2.5 miles without thinking about it.. sticking to that for the first few weeks, but maybe tomorrow I'll do more!
