Hello Illinois Chapter members!I'd like to know who's interested in participating in the IBRD on May 1st. Please let me know if you're interested and what ideas you may have were a large group of our chapter members could participate. Even though I live in the north side of Chicago, I'm willing to go where members show the most interest.As far as my idea for members to run as a group and represent the IBRD is at the Ravenswood Neighborhood Run 5K. Where? North side of Chicago of course! Registration is $30 before 4/25/11. I was planning on running the Ravenswood race. It would be great to have a big barefoot group there! My vote is RAVENSWOOD! Chelsea
D'vorah, I would like to make a decision on this by the weekend, especially if we're looking at doing the Ravenswood Run. I would like to register before space runs out. Nice feedback everyone! Why don't we plan on both meet-ups? Ravenswood race in the morning, and a lakefront run in the evening. Ravenswood is only a 5K, so I'd definitely be up for another meetup later in the day. People can either choose one or the other, or just do both!

Unfortunately these runs are a bit far for me, being in southern IL and 5 hours away. But I will do my part by going on a run to commemorate IBRD. I have been enjoying the comments and ideas. Maybe someday there will be a hosted run in my area.
Sorry to hear that Tatman. I'm sure we can figure out a way to get down there with you for a run. Maybe we can even meet half way. Please keep the chapter informed on what you'll do that day. Hopefully there are some more members down by you to get a group run in on that day. Remember, I'm willing to go where members show the most interest and so far the Ravenswood 5k is leading the way.
It looks like Ravenswood Run 5K it is! I'm going to sign up today and will post once I'm registered. Whoever else register's, please let us know by posting it. I'll also go ahead and list it on the IBRD page so that the rest of the BRS members are aware that we'll be participating. Yeah, we're doing it!
