I'm planning on walking around this festival barefoot. Anyone else want to join me?

Feel free to post earth loving events on your island too!

This family event offers an interesting blend of entertainment, information and community spirit. The festival aims to bring the Maui community closer together by offering an active dialogue on the environmental issues that are relevant for the wellbeing of Maui and the planet. Over 40 Environmental and Social Awareness Organizations will have booths as well as two stages of rousing live music and speakers will set the platform for this activity.

This year’s pulsing line-up for the music stage features island-wide artists such as: Makana, Dr Nat & Rio Ritmo, Haiku Hillbillys, Omar & Rare Vibrations, Divino & the Maui Ohana Band, Atma with Rasa Priya, Spirit Tribe, Joe Marshalla and more.

There is something to inspire everyone: healthy food, music to dance to, creative Keiki activities with pony rides, a petting zoo and face painting, divinely delectable eco vendors, a farmer’s market, mindful advice on alternative energy, transportation and agriculture, and much more. Five Community Forum Panel Discussions will fuel the discourse on current Maui issues:

    12pm: Smart Meters
    1pm: Cane Burning
    2pm: Agricultural Sustainability
    3pm: GMO Genetically Modified Food
    4pm: Chemtrails & Geo-Engineering.

Earth Day offers inspiration and fun for everyone. This well loved annual Maui event is expected to draw 2000 attendees.
