I'm heading back up to the White Mountains again on July 9th and was wondering if any other barefooters would like to join me? I'm not sure what I plan to do, but want to probably keep it under 12 miles. No one would be required to do the whole hike. Trying to think of something that might be a bit more barefoot friendly, so that might rule out Franconia ridge which I recall contains a lot of gravel. I am thinking of Mount Osceloa from Waterville Valley. It has been a long time since I've hiked that trail, but I believe it has a lot of switchbacks and might be a good barefoot trail.

Even if your shod your welcome to join us. Just remember barefooters are not know for going fast.

On Saturday, July 9th I will be doing Mount Carrigain, it has a observation platform ontop. A good description of the trail is here: http://www.hikenewengland.com/Carrigain990829.html

First miles are supposed to be easy. It is a 10 mile roundtrip hike, but there is never a need to reach the top.
