I'm in Nampa. Have tried over the years to get more activity here, but not much luck. My daughters and I are the main barefoot runners that show up when I do events.
I’m glad to hear that someone is active in Idaho. Unfortunately they’re on the other side of the state. LOL!
Yeah, a bit far away! Still, it is good to hear from you. Would you be willing to share a bit of your barefoot history?
Sure, I can share a little bit. I got started around 2011 or 2012. I don’t remember specifically as my memory isn’t as good as it used to be. I was into barefoot running and barefoot hiking. That lasted up until 2015 when I got sick. I didn’t start to feel better until the latter part of 2018. So here I am trying to get started again.
Hi, I live in Boise. I ran for a few years on minimalist shoes. I have taken a few years hiatus. I'm getting back into running slowly, and would like to find someone to help with my form, and eventually be able to transition to barefoot. Any help is much appreciated. Flyer
1). Take off shoes. 2). Walk a variety of surfaces, slowly building up time/distance (or plunge in and go for it ). 3). Do the same thing running- don’t push off your toes, don’t land heel first. My work here is done
