Anybody out there?

    Wow, last post for this chapter was Oct 2015! Anybody still running barefoot in the DFW area? I'm actually in the Keller area.

    I do run in dallas around my house (3 to 4 times a week) and do a few 1/2 marathon each year.
    I usually post on the milage reporting page.

    I'm actually in Hurst... I do about half my mileage barefoot. After slacking during the fall, my goal is to get into 10K shape for the spring.

    Yes, I run around my house as well in Keller area. Been running barefoot only about 3 months now so working on mileage. I'm at about 3 miles or so per outing.

    Cool. Nice to have SOMEONE in the vicinity running barefoot as well! I haven't run across anyone else yet.

    I can only speak for myself as far as posting on this site. I post mostly barefoot miles, but anything I post about mileage with shoes would specify "with shoes" and which type.

    As far as running in the heat in Texas typically run in the morning hours. But historically I have run in the heat of the day in the summer and you would need to pick paths with more shade than not. I have run on very hot ashphalt and it does make recovery (for me) longer.

    I typically train 3 to 4 days a week (usually a long run on the weekend) this usually puts 2 days together. I could probably run more days in a row consecutively but I like some time off and it allows me time and energy to pursue other exercise venues. (when I was training more for full marathons I used the book the non runners marathon trainer) it helped me a lot!

    I will run the 1/2 marathon "true" Barefoot. I have done quite a few1/2 marathons and a few full marathons this way.
    I really enjoy running Barefoot!
