Hey Barefoot Runners! I'm reporting for the San Francisco bay area chapter of BRS. We did a 4 mile trail run/hike in Redwood Regional Park. This was also an event on the Oakland Barefoot Running Meetup group calendar.

There were five of us:
In the photo from left to right you see Szilard (from the Oakland Meetup), me, Jay, Terry (our BRS chapter president), and Matt. Jay and Matt were surprise attendants; both of them apparently heard about IBRD and this event through a Xero Shoes announcement, so thanks to Xero shoes! We did a relaxed 4 miles, mostly hiking and enjoying conversation.
At one point we ran across a group of shod hikers having lunch, and one woman among them called us a bunch of barefoot dare-devils! Daredevils? haha! Also they mentioned we were the second group of barefoot hikers they'd seen today...I'd be curious to know who those phantom barefooters were.
