Well, it's a bit complicated. As I mentioned back when I tried to "run for president" , we're very few in this chapter (there's some strong cultural backdrop for this) and we're all scattered around, so there's no practical chance to have a physical meeting for this or any other event. In fact, AFAIK we actually only have 2 active members in the chapter within the country, as our dear friends Dama and Rafa (Entrenamiento Natural) are in the US and Spain respectively. I once mentioned to Pon that since he lives in Monterrey and it's a bigger city, he might have a better chance to recruit local people for the chapter or the event, but don't know how that has gone. But then, I guess a virtual get-together could always be in order, not minding where the runners are, as long as we're sharing the same goal, passion and, of course, the same date.
I am going to publish this to our social networks to try to find someone that could be there. We have come friends from Mexico (mazatlan) but they are outside right now and they were running the "caballo blanco ultramaraton barrancas de cobre".... let me check if someone could be there. Running alone or with friends in that case, JL, is perfectly fine. It's IBRD, so you can run with friends, in a group, at an event, or by yourself. JL, I did not know you were wanting to head up the Mexico Chapter in the past? Are you still interested? Perhaps you and Pon can make it work? Pon, what say you?

I'm sorry for my lack of response TJ; I was giving Pon a chance to respond to your question/invitation, but apparently he hasn't logged in recently. I was indeed interested in being president, but seeing the recent incorporation of Victor Hugo (Minimuri) as a chapter member, and taking into account he lives in Mexico City and already precedes a minimalist running group, I think he's a much better candidate for this and for a more formal IBRD event. The potential audience and reach in Mexico City is much larger than anything me or Pon could ever attempt to achieve. So welcome aboard Victor Hugo! And thanks for your offer on representing our group and organizing a physical IBRD, hopefully we'll finally start seeing some more mexican members around here. Cheers!
