Tuesday: 1 mile in VFF's. (after biking 16 miles. Am training for triathlon). First time. Could hardly walk for three days from sore calves.

Saturday: 1/2 mile barefoot on paved roads and bike trail (after biking 25 miles). Fun. Blister on second smallest toe. Tore it off. Ouch. (Back to VFF's until it heals).

Total: 1 mile VFFs. 1/2 mile barefoot.

Yay, Start.  That's a start!

 2nd week. Training for

2nd week. Training for triathlon in late August, running 5k at end either barefoot or in VFF's.

Sunday: 1.3 miles in VFF's.

Tuesday: 1.5 miles in VFF's (immediately after 25 mile bike ride)

Thursday: 1 mile barefoot. (immediately after 12 mile bike ride). Blister on left middle toe pad.

Saturday: 2 miles in VFF's (immediately after 17 mile bike ride)

I'm practicing getting the VFF's on quickly. Did it in 33 seconds after working out on Friday, but taking longer (I think) doing it after being shaky from the bike ride. Transition time counts.

No more major calf pain. Hope to be up to 5k by end of the week.

So, weekly total. 4.8 miles VFF's, plus 1 mile barefoot.

Yearly total: 5.8 miles VFF's, plus 1.5 miles barefoot. (It's a start).
