‘Barefoot’ Cycling Shoe Promises Natural Cycling Action

I'm not a cyclist, but I've read many posts about this need.

Please tell me this isn't an April Fool's joke.

It's About Time!

Had you not suggested the possibility I probably would have believed it!
Great April fools con!

That's what I was afraid of. I know it's much needed in the cycling community, so I've heard. Bummer.

Their people went to a lot of effort to make those, either real or graphically.

I've thought a lot about this issue. Cycling is my lifelong passion, and my foot issues have made cyclin shoes difficult to sort out. The thing is, you can't really mix minimalism as barefooters know it and the click in pedals. You need a very stiff/rigid shoe to disperse the pressure from the small contact point. To be minimal at all requires big, flat pedals that allow your foot to be supported. The big platform removes the need for stiff shoes. I use these on my mountain bike, but admit to vanity on my roadie, and found the most accommodating traditional cycling shoes I could.
