    I wish a minimalist shoe company would make a foot-shaped answer to either classic Vans or the Converse OneStar/AllStar. These shoes are heavier than running shoes. That 'extra' weight is from a relatively thick, solid, gum-rubber sole which makes them good for skateboarding, cycling, court...

    I'll be playing in the Special Olympics district basketball tournament on February 17th. We had a game last night so I got some practice in. But just like last year, the teams will be rough and tough. So it's not going to be easy.

    I recently started playing basketball for my high school team again, and my coach says that this year I won't be able to wear my minimalist shoes that I've always played in(they're inov-8 f-lite 235) so now I'll probably be stuck with some clunky Nikes.
