    Summer's nearly over...

Agree partially with NickW about low milage during the summer, although winters here in Sweden are just too long and cold. Please make it a short mild summer thanks!

    My barefoot training ground!

Wasn't sure what chip seal was so googled it. Ouch! Feel blessed that the roads round here are smoother. But as you all say it's good training for getting relaxed ...

@Darkland Great story! Thanks for sharing :)

    My running technique

Yeah! Thanks for the video. And yeah, the heel striking thing = not good. Went out for a run this evening and I kinda feel like I was doing the opposite. Running on my toes. Not good either really. Gonna feel that in my calfs tomorrow. My form sucked today. Oh well. Gonna rest a couple of days...

But, I'm not gonna deny that little competitive devil that lurks within ;)

Haha :) Milage works for me too. (from Scotland)

    My running technique

Wise words. I am pretty new to all this. Up until recently my running was about A to B in the fastest time. Now it's about the journey, experience and feeling

    My running technique

Yeah, ok. You all might be right in retrospect. Gotta sort out that form. I'll be doing most running barefoot now the weathers warmer! Really appreciate all comments :)

    My running technique

To be honest I don't believe I am heel striking in my VFF. It's more midfoot. And yes, my last run was barefoot and simply the best run ever! :)

    My running technique

@thomDavid Yeah, I went for my first run since the filming took place (over a week ago) and was conscious about not over-striding. Rather than measuring cadence I concentrated on shorter strides. This may or may not have taken my cadence to 180 but it sure did feel good!

    My running technique

Thanks for the feedback guys!! Yeah, I'll look around for the posts on cadence and such. I agree that everyone has a unique style, which will entail different optimal cadence etc. I think my technique is better when I have had a chance to get into the rhythm for a hundred meter or so. Been sick...

    People's reactions when you run

Mostly people just stop in their tracks and stare. The only comments I've had so far was from a couple out with their dog. It was maybe -8 C and plenty snow. Mans reaction: "Ser utfriskande ut!", womans reaction: "Herrejävlar!".Which translated from Swedish pretty much means "Looks refreshing!"...

    My running technique

Yeah, I am pushing off which is leaving the leg trailing behind, thus using up too much energy to bring the leg forward again. I can also point out that a fair amount of time was spent getting the cadence round the 180 mark. I actually run with 180 normally, but for filming, well I don't know, I...

    My running technique

I attended a 3 hour running technique course at the weekend. The teacher is one of 3 licenced POSE-method teachers here in Sweden. However, the focus of the course was not really about this method, but more running economy and biomechanics. 1 hour was spent watching the films of our running, and...

    Summer's here (dammit)

Still not that warm in Sweden yet. It's generally minus degrees (celcius) during the morning, and a few plus during the day. Looks like we are in for a change though. Through the weekend and next week it looks like it'll be between 9 - 15 degrees (48-59 F). That's nice!

Street Sweeper ... It must be Spring

Streets in need of some real good sweeping round these part. Little bit of a guilty conscience today when I witnessed som guy driving (from parked) into a small pile of snow/gravel, and actually getting his car stuck, with the front end of the ground. I didn't help coz i was rushing to a...
