    Enjoy the Myrtle Beach Marathon!! My husband and I had planned on running that one in 2009, but it was canceled due to a freak snow storm, dumping a whopping 2 inches of snow! Laughable by northern standards. It ended up being a beautiful day, 45 degrees and sunny! Good luck!

    Yeah, I've been told that anything this side of the Tappan Zee is "upstate". I'm about 3hrs up rt 17. There's a nice, very small, marathon not far from Rockland County, close to Port Jervis, in PA, called the Lackawaxen Marathon. It's mostly through state game lands and along the Delaware. Yeah...

    Wow!! You guys ROCK!! Thanks for all the responses and help! I'm going to try 1/4 mile today. It's about 55 degrees outside today (March weather! Crazy!), so we'll see how this goes! I'll post later how this goes. :-)
