It went very well, by the way the Saying's on the back of your shirt went over very well. Lots of giggling and pointing. I know there might be a couple more added to our numbers. But educating is part of the gig. Here is a picture of me at the start of the presentation. I will also try to upload...

    Winter Challenge - 2013

Lee, salt is salt, I found that no matter if it was done its job of melting the snow (dry) or wet nor whether it had been there for a while it is still salt if it is visible and will destroy your feet. Once the streets are done that is it for me in that location. They don't do the sidewalks here...

    Winter Challenge - 2013

Yup, I know the feeling I was going to go for a jaunt last night at -34 after my youngest went to bed but he disagreed with me and decided to stay up until almost 10. By the time he passed out, I was to tired and there was no way I could keep my feet going fast enough to keep the heat flowing...

    Winter Challenge - 2013

The air temp was about -26 degrees. My route was really open to the wind and I could definitely feel it on the way back. I had my mukluks with me just in case I ran into any trouble. Never lost feeling in my toes and they never went beyond that tingling feeling. We are suppose to drop to -40...

    Mileage Reporting 50th Week 2013

4.5 mile run including .95 km barefoot (ahh screw it lets call it 1km) at -33 degrees C tonight. Sweet, that was my temperature goal for this year , now to extend it to 2km and we are good. No damage to the feet, not even the least bit numb, but I did see some smoke.

WOOHOO!!!!! Just broke -30 degrees with a balmy -33 for .95km (just couldn't squeeze out that last few steps, my house was too close) :coldfeet: . That was the temp I was shooting for this winter now I just need to add a bit more distance on for the next one. Maybe if I pick a clear asphalt...

    Winter Challenge - 2013

Likewise, I was hoping for a good weekend of BF running with the weather that we had but it created a soupy mess of slush and cold which reduced me to no barefoot mileage. One more day of this and then a good cool down tomorrow. Unfortunately we are slated for a good 3 plus inches of snow today...

Had a 14.25 mile mukluk run yesterday to finish off the week. Temps were warmer than normal but the ground was also a bit slushy so no barefooting.
