    We do this run every year but it's the first time I've ever done it barefoot. I was pacing a mate round to a sub 50 so was able to enjoy the atmosphere more than I usually do and with 10,000 people running and bands round the course there was plenty to enjoy. Nobody made much of an issue...

    The are meant to give you space around the forefoot and be very secure around the mid foot. The idea being that the tight mid foot stops the shoe from moving around and giving you blisters while the looser area around the forefoot gives it space to spread.

    In the uk you can't run triathlons barefoot. Really bizarre given you HAVE to be barefoot from swim to bike!
