    Hi from Skåne, Sweden

That's when I moved away from my parents' to "Delphi" in Lund... Then I studied the first year at the Computer Science and Engineering programme, not many exchange students there, not the first year, anyway... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Where is this picture taken

Germany/Austria/Switzerland? It says "Eis" (=ice cream in German) on the right window. On the left there's some text in German, ending with the date 1573. So an older village in the German speaking part of the world? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    barefoot / shod percentage ?

For my part I run 100% barefoot. Last winter I had socks on some days when it was below freezing, but this winter I haven't felt the need of any socks. I've only come up to 23km in distance barefoot, so I cannot say about the full marathon distance. But others seem to be doing it? I don't see...

    hi from the Netherlands,

It's probably not that different from yours? I live in southern Sweden, we have snow maybe two weeks a year, the sea is stabilizing the climate, it never gets really cold here. So it's okay, most winter days are above freezing. I think it's about the same for you? Sent from my iPhone using...

    Winter Challenge Coordinator Needed

Thank you Tristan, Dana and Yvonne for offers/artwork! As for the value of this competition, for my own part, as a beginning barefoot runner, I can say that last year's Winter Challenge is what made me continue running at all last Winter. And still the memories of that is what made me go out...

Pictures of the 2nd edition of the International Barefoot Trophy

Yes, very cool! Was it a different experience from other races "sound wise"? Less stomping? More silent?

    knee injuries - compression sleeves

Are you running Barefoot? I had the same issues when running in shoes, both in big ones and in vibrams. Now no longer! Otherwise I would recommend the Myrtl routine weekly, available here as a PDF: http://www.njsportsmed.com/files/myrtl_routine.pdf . The reasoning is that weakness in the hip...

Dry, dead, cracking shin on your heels!

Is it not a common problem often caused by walking without socks in sandals? Personally, I get it when I do that, whereas barefoot running generally helps (for me). Moisturizing cream also helps. But for me the key is making sure to wear socks when walking in sandals, especially at work...

    Garmin Fenix 3

I've had one for some 14 months. I bought it with the hr monitoring chest band, since it is the component that does the cadence monitoring. It's a great running watch. I run with a three display setup showing cadence, heart rate and pace. I run by heart rate (maffetone), and I've found that I...

    Hi from Skåne, Sweden

Thanks, all! There's big differences within Sweden, up north the snow lies for 9 months, but here it it's rarely more than 10 days per year. That said, I agree, the Winter challenge is a great motivator!
