    Cycling!!!!

Ha! I started to read this post and realized that I had already seen that bike on bikeforums. As for shoes, I wear my Merrell Pace Gloves all the time with my bike. The rock plate in them keeps the pedals from digging into my feet. I am just using the stock pedals on my Specialized hybrid bike.

Bug Anyone not getting emails from replied posts or alerts

I'm getting alerts (YAY) and not emails (also YAY). I couldn't find the place in settings where we'd mess with email settings os I can't tell if that's on purpose or by accident, but it works for me.

Helping 7th grader with first running shoes?

I'm a huge fan of the Merrells, but her mom is trying to avoid spending a million dollars for track shoes-- she also plays softball & volley ball and her brother is in wrestling and football. Sports equipment budget is tight in that house already!

Anyone else reading but not running?

For a while I was running but not reading, then neither running nor reading. I'm back here now, hoping that it'll motivate me to start running again. It was a hard winter for me filled with stress, commitments and a nasty cough that lasted for over a month.

Helping 7th grader with first running shoes?

We don't have a Sports Authority within an hour's drive from here, so that won't be happening, but I'll check into the NB 730. Hope that they'll carry it somewhere around here, too. Thanks for the input!

Helping 7th grader with first running shoes?

Hi all, I've not posted much in a long time because I've not run much in a long time. But that'll be changing soon, now that spring promised to arrive again this year. But that's not why I'm here at the moment. I have offered to help my neighbor's daughter buy her first pair of running shoes...

Safe barefoot running - hat or sunglasses ?

I wear both in the summer. A I wear both in the summer. A pair of polarized Ryders glasses (not cute but functional) and a white ball cap. Sometimes I when I'm running on a shady trail I take the glasses off and stick them on the top of my hat, but they stay on when running in sun. I hate...

Sewers, enlighten me please....transition footwear solution?

barefoot.zumba.runner Yeah, Id guess that most sandals that *look* like that are pretty stiff. But if they're specifically made for modern dance, they might be more flexible than the aferage shoe. Either way, they are more shoe than I really want/need.

    DailyMile Accounts?

Ahh. I don't need more social Ahh. I don't need more social networking options. I like that RA will upload directly from my Garmin and plop it into my Facebook news feed-- that's enough workout publicity for me.

Barefoot Gentile I'm not interested in working hard to get faster. I'm just too lazy for that. But I still get a little tired of fact that the only people who post their times are the fast ones. I read Nyal's intentions as "hey-- slow folks, come out of the closet!" And here I am. (We need a...
