  1. Pavement condition of Boston Marathon course?

TL;DR: The pavement condition is good overall. I drove the western 15 miles of the course the day before, getting out and walking or running in about half a dozen places. Not encountering any bad areas, I decided to go for it. Amusingly, Main Street in Hopkinton has been recently repaved with...
  2. Pavement condition of Boston Marathon course?

Thanks, TJ. Haven't heard back from Theresa yet. It's been about 10 years since she posted so not sure if she checks in here anymore. Something tells me I'll need to check out the western portion of the course when I get into town. Will also start training on some rougher surfaces just in case.

  6. Part of race on beach. Sandpaper?

Thanks, guys, I'm feeling better about it! Think I'll go for a run....
  7. Part of race on beach. Sandpaper?

Hi guys; first post here. Where has this site been all my life?? :) I have a Pose-method background, and have been barefooting for about a year and a half. I've built up to runs of 10 miles on relatively-smooth pavement (my feet get "warm" beyond that). There is a half-iron race (Ocean Shores...
