    CrossFit

I finally tried crossfit and I am addicted. My only set back from doing it more is it is very expensive where I live, so I do drop-ins. I only go once a week but it's awesome, but even though it's once a week I feel a difference with my running, just feel stronger.

Yes I was wearing Vibrams. I don't wear socks with Vibrams so it's cool how it still shows a barefoot mark.

    Feet toughening

7 years running barefoot for me, and I don't think you ever get used to challenging surfaces if you don't train on them consistently. I mostly run on the streets, but even now when hit some chip-n-seal it's always a bit tougher. I ran a 50k trail race barefoot years ago, and purposely trained...

    Transitioning advice.

I went from traditional running shoes straight to barefoot running, I bypassed the whole minimal thing, which I suggest you do as well. Minimal footwear is still shoes. Barefoot is the best instructor, your feet will tell you when to rest, when it's time to increase mileage, etc. And more...

    barefoot / shod percentage ?

I am mostly a road runner and my first choice is always barefoot. In the winter I challenge myself to see how far I can run barefoot, but if Mother Nature has other plans, footwear goes on. I don't sacrifice a run just because I can't be barefoot. When it comes to technical/rocky trails I...
