I have been wearing flip-flops as my around-town-or-in-the-husband's-scary-workshop footwear for the summer. It has been comfortable to walk in until lately when I began increasing my barefoot mileage more. Now, I find my feet wanting to cramp up more in the flip flops, though not when barefoot. I'm guessing this is from the subtle toe work to keep them on. Fortunately, I have other really flat, back strap sandals for times when I need to go out. And my RunAMocs for colder weather, which I love. (For running in unbearably cold weather, I am very comfortable in my Moc3s; my daughter has just about worn out a pair of those between track and cross country practice this year.)
