Introducing the Xero Shoes 4mm Connect and 6mm Contact outsoles with FeelTrue rubber
Our exclusive FeelTrue outsoles are the only outsole specifically designed for barefoot running.

With the help of one of the world's top outsole manufacturers, and former lead designers from Nike and Reebok, we started with the best qualities of the famous Vibram Cherry material and made these improvements:
Contoured to fit your foot, without providing unnecessary support
lacedpair-slipon-grass.png
  • "High-abrasion" material lasts a long time
  • Very flexible (great barefoot feel) while still providing strong protection
  • Holds it shape better
  • Slight "toe spring" keeps sole closer to your foot
  • Sized from 7" to 14" -- many people can use the outsole without trimming! (and has less waste if you do)
  • Elegant shape with subtle arch and heel cup
  • Easily customized with just a pair of kitchen scissors
  • Top sole pattern feels soft while providing traction
  • Reinforced, extended, and elevated ankle holes keep lace from wearing out
  • Dual-Chevron tread pattern provides traction under any condition
  • Material includes some recycled stock
  • There are two models of our FeelTrue outsole:
4mm thick Connect -- the closest thing to barefoot. Extremely light weight (men's US size 9 weighs ~3.7 ounces) and
6mm thick Contact -- still a great barefoot feel, but with more protection. Slightly stiffer, but still flexible. (men's size 9 weighs ~ 5.3 ounces)

Cool! I used the classic kit to make my own huaraches a year or two ago... I would love to see how the new soles compare to the classic!

Do they come with traction soles for the snowy weather we already had here? Put me down, I am all for trying them now.

Hey Dutchie... Are you Dutch? If so I can confirm that the former Invisible shoes perform excellently in the snow. The Truefeel soles are rough on the inside unlike the Vibram outsoles so that your feet do not slip. I have run last winter over packed snow and ice and it's a gas.

I assume that you are already familiar with huaraches or barefoot running in cold weather, in case not: your feet will in no way freeze. I have had more problems with cold feet running in normal trainers than with the huaraches... I even had to strip off my in Injinji socks!

The grip on even slippery footing is amazing, and when I use the term 'grip' I really mean it, because this is exactly what your toes do!
Awesome information, thank you. Yes I am a transplanted dutchman.

I have just started barefoot running. I have been in the Army for 10 years and have been dealing with running injuries for about 6 of those years. I have seen countless number of doctors, until one physical therapist suggested running barefoot. And after just one week of barefoot running I have cured all my pain. Last week I couldn't get through 2 miles without stopping. Yesterday I ran 7 straight and felt like I could keep going. I am sold on barefoot running to say the least! Would love a pair of these!

Me too, me too.......
