2.15 miles this morning in 31.09 for day 2 of the C25K Wk 5. Today I did my 5 minute walk to warm up, ran for 8 minutes (not as hard as I thought it would be!), walked 5, ran for 8 (breathing hard at the end but wasn't struggling) and then cooled off by walking for 5.

About 2 miles this morning. Still struggling to go 20 whole minutes running. Thought I had my "natural" stuff done before leaving :p but then about halfway through it called once again. Dangit.

I rode my bike yesterday with my sons for two miles. My toes felt fine while I rode. Hmmmm. I have all sorts of thoughts now.

I rode a total of 30 miles on Saturday! :D. My bike computer just turned over 200 miles since I got it the first of May.

2 miles barefoot of incline running and faster paced running on the fancy dancy treadmill at my in-laws place today. This treadmill has speakers on it you can plug iPod into, kinda bounces as you run, has fans to make you feel like you're going fast (or to cool you down, but I prefer to pretend I'm a cheetah:D). The belt doesn't get too warm but it is pretty easy to blister your feet just because of the moving belt. I will be housesitting out here all week so I will be running on it 3 more times this week...:( Did I mention it is up on the top floor of their house which does not have a/c? Talk about hot and suffocating. At least there's the fans to make me dream that I'm running fast outdoors. :D

And you can't run outside because...?

YES!! 20 minutes non-stop (slow) running! Sure it was the pace of a brisk walk at 15 min/mile, but it was still running darn it! :p 1.29 miles running, and the usual 2 total miles at the office since it's cloudy and in the 70's due to all the much-needed rain we've been getting since Friday.

At the end of 20 minutes I actually felt pretty good. Breathing heavy of course, but I could have gone longer I think. Week 6 Day 3 is 15m run, 3m walk, then another 10m run. We'll see how that goes on Friday, hopefully.

Just did 4.5 miles in the rain. I stepped on a nasty bur and lots of stones but this is officially the farthest I have ever run, shod or otherwise. I was aiming for 3 miles today but it was raining so I left my phone behind and missed the street I was supposed to turn on, resulting in me overshooting my run by 50%.

Good progress, Patrick! Glad you are able to enjoy some cooler temps.

Oh yeah. I was actually going to bike today during lunch, but it's drizzling some and my bike has no fenders. So I may just go run again. :D

Patrick that's outstanding you did the 20 minutes! Gives me a bit of hope for my first stab at it tomorrow morning!!! It's fun having somebody else in essentially the same part of learning to run that I'm at.

Did 2.03 miles this morning. Had to take 3 days off instead of 1 (just life, not injury) and MAN did that suck. Did my two 8 minute runs, but was definitely tired. Tomorrow - 20 minutes straight. Don't have high expectations, but I'll just do what I can. :)

Wow huge progress! Completed w6 d3 on the first try! 25 minutes total running - 15 and 10 with 3m walk in between. Went a total of about 2.6 miles, with 1.6 of that running!

W7 d1 is essentially the same time spent running and walking, but different intervals - 20m and 5m. I have high hopes! Then every day after that just increases the running time by 1 minute each day starting with 26 minutes straight running. I can do it!

*edit* oh yeah, I did end up biking yesterday during lunch, 8 miles total with a stop for lunch. Only problem is that it started drizzling again just before lunch. Then when I left to head back to the office it was POURING! I was pretty drenched when I got back. I'm sure the people driving thought I was nuts, maybe even more so than running barefoot. :p

OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD! I DID IT! I ran for 20 minutes without stopping for the first time! Which also means...wait for it!...that I ran my first mile in god knows how many years! I don't think I've ever ended a run smiling as much as I was today! :-D

Only 1.71 miles today due to my snail-like pace. :D
