People's reactions when you run

I had a great reaction yesterday. Actually, I was a bad, bad BF runner. I wasn't paying attention and ran right up on a couple in near perfect silence. As I came up next to her she glanced over and leapt sideways about 6 feet. I think maybe she went over her companion but I'm not sure. I was all apologies as I kept on footing it.

This probably makes me a bad person, but I kinda love it when this happens.

I had a couple younger runners coming toward me one time and I could see that they spotted my bare feet and were getting ready to make a comment so I beat them to it and said "Wow, you got shoes on!" ....."Doesn't that hurt?" They just laughed.
That is a great idea!

Man I can't come up on anyone silently, mainly because of my damn toes making popping noises. Both my big toes do it, when they flex upwards, probably 75% of the time. It's super annoying.

I have found that a majority of people think that when you run barefoot your hearing becomes impaired.

I think my hearing has sharpened since running barefoot. It goes back to that whole in-tune with your environment, but also, I don't have to listen to the plodding of my footsteps in heavy shoes. ;)

I had my first old lady offer me a ride cuz I was barefoot. Lol!
Ha that reminds me of when I was traveling by bicycle through Africa, Europe and the Middle East. People would slow down to ask me if I wanted a ride, like my car broke down and I got my spare bicycle out of the trunk to carry on. I had to explain that no, I actually liked traveling this way.

Yes, there is something wrong with your shoes. That's why you took them off your feet. ;)
