Hey Bob, I just finished all three parts and I wanted to say thank you again. Also, if memory serves me correctly weren't you going to be doing the Death Race shown in this video?

great! thank you! :D

Hey Bob, I just finished all three parts and I wanted to say thank you again. Also, if memory serves me correctly weren't you going to be doing the Death Race shown in this video?

Yup, i am running that this summer, well 2 legs of it anyway for about 58km. My wife is also running 2 legs of it and another friend is running 1 leg. Prepping to do the whole thing solo in 2013.

Wow Bob! Are you planning on doing it barefoot or in minshoes? Part of that course looked really rocky and you are a stud if you can do that barefoot.

I am running the first leg barefoot, it is about 19km or 12 miles starts in town and heads to a fire road, so nothing to crazy just your standard gravel and dirt ATV trails. I've also got the 4 leg which is the killer 38 km of summits (7000') including over 3500 feet straight up and then another slightly more gradual 3500 feet down, see link for the elevation (http://www.canadiandeathrace.com/sites/default/files/pictures/elevation-2011_final_140711.pdf . I am planning to use my trusty Vibram KSO's for this leg but I will make that call in June when I go to the training camp and see the leg first hand, but that is how I am currently leaning.

The plan is to take a portable video cam (one of those head or chest mounted units) with me to record the race, should be a hell of a good time.

Way Way Way cool, keep us posted and thanks again for taking the time to post the videos, as I posted to your part I, wicked inspiring. I might make this a must watch for those days when the motivation flags.

Just to let everybody know, the documentary has been taken down on request by the creator. If you had not had a chance to see it yet I applogize. My understanding is it will be available on Itunes later this year.
