Boston Barefoot Running Festival April 14-15, 2012

Just got home last night from the Boston Barefoot Running Festival. What an awesome time! The running was great but the people were better. Thank you Preston Curtis and crew for putting on a wonderful event meeting all of you was alot of fun. Thank you Ken Bob, Michael Sandler, Dr. Howell, Dr. Irene Davis, Dr. Stoxen, and Theresa Withee for sharing your knowlege and experiences with us. I would highly reccomend anyone from the experienced barefooter or minimalist runner to the curious non runner to attend next year you wont be disappointed. Jswan2011 and I drove 6hrs to get there and it was well worth it. It ended with a 5k with walkers 5 minute milers and everyone in between. I wish I remembered his name but the winner ran a 16:55 with a few others close behind. It was inspiring to see that a barefooter could achieve that kind of speed. And the individual stories from the other runners and first time barefooters was equally encouraging. See you next year!

Had a great time in Boston and it was a pleasure to meet you and your husband, Theresa. I Especially enjoyed soaking my tired feet in the ice cool creek after the race. Your an inspiration to me and other barefooters.

I really enjoyed the 5k. I was in town to watch friends run the marathon. I wish I had time to meet more people, but we got there 20 min before the race started and had to leave shortly after. There is a great video by videosphere.
(I'm at 17' 30" into the video with green shirt. No I didn't finish 17'30", more like 24' 25")

Looked like fun! Very proud of Preston. Good job.

What I noticed from the video, even the people wearing VFFs, collectively, run with better form than traditionally shod runners, collectively, run.
