Hey all, saw this on Runners World Today: http://gear.runnersworld.com/2011/05/saucony-minimalism.html

The new Saconys are 0 drop and are only $80!

Nice seeing another big company jump on the minimalist bandwagon. However, I never did like Saucony when I was a shoddie. Any thoughts on the new shoes?

The sole is supposed to be

The sole is supposed to be very thick and rigid though. I'm not sure how much I would like these. I will be revieiwng them at some point though.

I've been running in them for

I've been running in them for 2 months now. I love them! I can still feel the ground, but I'm not terrified of stepping on sticks or the random rock while running in my urban neighborhood. I would recommend them for anyone who wanted to get into barefoot or minimalist running!

I tried a pair on and sent

I tried a pair on and sent them back, but I can't remember why!

Wait... Da Google knowz!

I thought the toebox was roomy enough, but my heels were slipping. (Probably not an issue for short runs; but 20-30+ miles, it's a big problem.) Just made me like my Pace Gloves even more.

I just bought them and I've

I just bought them and I've worn them casually, but haven't run in them yet as I'm planning to get some serious barefooting in before the weather gets poopy for the winter. So far I'm not crazy about the binding material.

FYI, Footlocker clearanced the Hattori for $20 in store (not online). Wish they had a 10, had to settle for a 10.5, but looking forward to trying them out.

Edit: Forgot to give credit to larsky at slickdeals for pointing this out.
