Merrell Pace Glove vs. Merrell Dash Glove

I haven't posted in a long time. :( I've had a lot going on. Still running barefoot though! :) I have been wearing the Pace Gloves to work because I don't want to do "toe shoes" at work. I just discovered that Merrell now offers a road shoe, Dash Glove, they were not available when I purchased the Pace Glove. Does anyone here have any experience with the two? I was initially super excited about the Dash Glove shoe for work but then I had a thought, will the soles not last as long as the Pace Gloves because there isn't the tread on the bottom? Then I wonder, are there benefits to using the road shoe vs. the trail shoe in my case - for daily wear to work. If the difference in the shoes is negligible (as in any barefoot benefits - both shoes are zero drop etc. but some people like the least amount of material between their feet and the ground, does a little bit of tread make that much difference?) then I might stick with the Pace Glove thinking they have better longevity since they have some tread on the bottom.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Laura

I went to REI and tried both pairs on. I couldn't perceive a big difference in the soles. The road shoe was $110 vs. the Pace Glove being on clearance at $60 so the choice was easy.
