I was trying to figure out how to make it down to the Copper Canyon for the ultra this year, but it was just not to be, figured there would always be next year. Well, this is a perfect reason to embrace the day today, not tomorrow because you just never know.

May you run in peace caballo, same as Barefooting Bob I was planning on going down next year too. Thank you too all the good you did, and thank you for all the inspiration you have given to the people who knew you, and the people who wish they did.
Very, very sad news. I only knew about him from Born To Run (obviously) but he was depicted as someone who truly didn't expect much from the world. It's cruel that his life could be taken by nature, which he respected so much.

I read it just this morning in the news. I am still shocked and puzzled on how it happened. AFAIK Micah was pretty familiar with the place.

Ya, I can think of lots of worse ways to go. I know I'll never have the impact on the world he had, either. A great soul has moved on.
