Brand new to the forum and still relatively new to barefoot running. Just ran my first 5K race Sunday and I feel I have a lot to learn.

Thanks, All!

Welcome, Ego!

Welcome! Did you run your 5K skin on he ground barefoot? That's quite a milestone (or 3.1 milestone) for a new BF runner. Good on you!

And your avatar is spooky. Not bad, just a bit queazy making. Hang around and I'll get used to it, I'm sure. My avatar, on the other hand, rocks. I'm sure you recognise the national fish, Alosa sapidissima, the American Shad. ()Caught my first of the year yesterday. Whoowee!)

I'm still new here too Egomol but the community has been great so far. I might just stick around. Great job on the bf 5k.

So far?! So far?! So far?! Hee. :barefoot: (At least we have the barefoot smiley, and no other forum has that! You can't go wrong with a barefoot smiley.)

Ran it totally barefoot. I think it was chip sealed. :/ Owie. It was nearly a PR too. I think if the roads weren't quite as rough, it might have been a PR. (at least THAT's what I keep telling myself.)

jldeleon, the avatar is my lovely blood blister from said 5K. I had to put a smilie on it to make it less gross. :barefoot:

I knew that was a blood blister and proud of it!
