I need a foam roller, I think. I've been making-do with a rolling pin and baseball for a while, but I need to break down and buy the real thing. Where is a good place to get them?

Big fan of the foam roller! I bought one for my IT band issue, if you are injured or not I think every runner should have one. I got mine at Dicks Sporting Goods. It was like $18.

Rolling - pin works great to
Rolling - pin works great to IT-bands while you are sitting on the chair. With hamstrings/soleus I'm using tennisball - put it under sore Trigger Points and roll it over sideways about 20 sec - then move on to the next sore TrP.
When I'm travelling it's easier to me have with me ball than roller foam ;-)

Mr Deplume bought me one over the weekend, and I gave it a good try out today. Yikes! It hurts so much worse than the rolling pin I had been using.
