My 79 year old father is
My 79 year old father is "running" it (well, what he does is actually more like walking, due to a knee problem). He won't be barefoot (I think he's wearing Newtons) but he does do some of his training on the beach barefoot, so maybe that counts for something.

Tell your dad, he is way too cool, Joe. I bet you are very proud of him. I hope I will be at least as fit as he is when I get to be his age, and I would love to be able to even walk a marathon.

I'm a member of the Miami Chapter and already posted it there, but it doesn't seem like there are many barefoot runners down here suprisingly.. Oh well, looks like I'll be representing the barefoot community on my own..
This will be my 1st barefoot 1/2 marathon, so wish me luck..
