Ideas for a relay across America

Not sure I would be "on route", but I might be willing to travel to SF or Tahoe or where ever to run a leg as long as it was a reasonable distance away. At any rate, I added my marker just so you can see where I am. I just absolutely LOVE this idea!

That's not enough time to prepare for a successful relay, Larry.

Hi TJ, for some reason the map instructions aren't working for me. Is a Google account neccessary to use this feature?

I added myself to the map.

I added myself to the map. I'm a new runner, but will be training my butt off to prep for this. Shouldn't be hard with how helpful this site is.

I live in Kenosha, WI.

  Delaware should be the East

Delaware should be the East coast start/finish. It's always New York, give Delaware some love, we ARE the First State. We have great beaches and it's a hell of a lot cheaper to stay here then in New York. Sure you'll have to run over a bridge but the Mississippi will have to be crossed too, and the Appalachians and the Rockeys, what's a little bridge?

I'd like to re-visit this. I see there is some interest in this idea but how do we decide on a course with so many barefooters in different states? If i was to run this by myself I would start on the Georgia coast and proceed across the U.S. and swerve into the mid-west then towards California somewhere but that would leave out a huge section of the northern part of the country. From the the first post i made there is for sure some interest...any ideas on a route that could include the most barefooters possible but still fit into the seasonal temperatures best?

Are you looking at the Member Map, Mokie? Maybe if we can get more people to add themselves to the map above, that would help us plan a route.
