Anyone else getting fat this month?

Dude. I think I have gained like 10 pounds of pure fat. I took two weeks off work and just sit around drinking heavy winter beers and eating tamales or chips and queso. I am a little worried with the big race in a month but figure if I just eat reasonably in January I will be okay. Anyone else in this fat boat?

Nah, this is my time of the year to trim up; right before Thanksgiving is the worst for me, due to late night stress eating from late semester insanity.

You're a guy though, so I'm assuming it comes off easily?

I havent put on much weight, but more than I care to. I would have been fine if I hadnt have gotten injured... Grrrrr... Im still nursing my leg, and because of the muscle imbalance Im starting to get shin splits on my left leg...

On Thanksgiving I had a 4 pack showing. Now just a fat mess. Hopefully it comes off easy. Although my abs are not even so they look sort of gross.
 
yup, three weeks of being

yup, three weeks of being home in Michigan, otherwise known as the land of my mom's amazing cooking and baking and the calories are insane. And the only "gym" equipment I have is a tread mill and two five pound weights. Plus my knee was injured so I couldn't go more than about 4 miles at a time, bleh. I need to get back to a real gym with real weights and cross training equipment. I can feel my upper body muscle dwindling away. I actually care more about that than I do the layer of fat. Thats easy to get to go away, but that muscle I worked hard for :-(.

I just found out that my Old

I just found out that my Old Navy 32" jeans are actually like 38" in real measurements. Yeah, I'm fat. I may cut a carb or 2 but I'll never cut beer. That's just inhuman.

I have two months of sitting

I have two months of sitting on my ass coming up after the surgeries. I'm so not looking forward to it. Is there any way to get a good cardio workout while sitting on your butt?

Lol TJ! Too funny. I have managed to put on weight this month because I've been busier than normal and haven't been able to run as much. Combo that with my non stop eating and that's way bad. I need to figure out how to eat healthy and not be hungry all the time... If I'm hungry I eat, but this makes one eat way too many calories... I've also noticed the more I run the hungrier I am, kind of a catch 22 if you know what I mean.

I'm gaining weight right there with you! I'm still running & lifting, but the beer & Christmas cookies have been getting to me lately. I need to clean up the diet.
 
I've seen a cardio machine

I've seen a cardio machine that was like a bike for arms. You sit on a seat and move "pedals" that are at arm level around in a circle. I would assume it would be about as good as a bike for cardio although I've never tried it since it makes it too hard to read that way :).

I've run out of time to run, so I'm getting a gut. Things are finally calming down, and I plan on hitting the road aggressively soft starting tomorrow! Along with the Brazil Butt Lift. Yes, that is the infomercial thing...I just can't help myself when I'm half asleep on Saturday morning! :)
