Some of you may be interested to hear this... (good for BF promotion anyway)...

A well know UK comedian, Eddy Izzard who went from no running to a modest amount over something like a few months and then almost straight on to 43 marathons in 51 days is now going barefoot. The original 43 marathons thing was shown on TV and raised a lot of money for charities. Talk of risking TMTS but he made it (but was trailed by some medical folks to assist)! I don't know how far he's managed with BF yet and I'm not sure if he has any more plans that will use his running on telly etc. but you can hear the confirmation of this on the following link. He starts talking about running during an interview on the BBC Radio 1 Chris Moyles show at about 1H44' in (on the link) and talks about barefoot some time around 2 - 3 minutes later. I think this link starts at about 1H35' or there abouts so you won't have to fast forward if you can't be bothered.

He is briefly asked why he's going BF along with typical questions I gather some of you get going BF! I think he basically says something along the lines of it being the natural way.

Listen here. Go Eddy!

That is pretty cool. Don't

That is pretty cool. Don't know about in the US but Eddie is very big over here, so that is quite major exposure for BF :)

HEALTH WARNING: After listening to Chris Moyles for more than 2 minutes you will lose the will to live...

 His bit about the cafeteria

His bit about the cafeteria on the Death Star is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. In the movie "Circle." On netflix watch it now!

I love Eddie and kept up with

I love Eddie and kept up with his marathons via Twitter. Hopefully he'll keep us posted on his barefooting there too. Thanks for the link!

Big Eddy IzZard fan here

Big Eddy IzZard fan here too. Youtube Evil Giraffe for a good laugh. He is a fearless and very funny man (doing stand up comedy in French in France with a decent - not excellent - grasp of the language takes a brave soul). Watched his documentary not too long ago with the family and my son named his lizard Eddy.

...Makes me wonder, however,

...Makes me wonder, however, if he'll have to ditch the high heels like us women barefoot runners. We can't be crunching our toes & shortening our achilles anymore, no matter how fashionable it is!

I tossed half of my old stilettos in the donation bin just the other day...

What?  You didn't hear about

What? You didn't hear about the new VHH that just came out?

I was just amazed when I

I was just amazed when I watched the BBC series on his marathons around the uk. Virtually no training then straight into it. IT was taking him a painstaking 8 hours to complete some of his marathons, that's a long time on your feet. I think by about the fourth marathon his feet looked awful, skin falling off, blisters etc, maybe he should have took the shoes off then! but having recently experienced an English summer for myself I kept my vibrams well and truly on my feet. I hear he is planning a 1000 mile run across Africa barefoot? wow that would be good.

Guess what; I haven't even

Guess what; I haven't even the remotest clue as to who this Eddy Izzard person is. Maybe you should examine why it is that you're familiar with him.

What Joseph said.  Youtube it

What Joseph said. Youtube it up Nyah. Izzard is one of the better comics of our time.

Izzard is hilarious! From

Izzard is hilarious! From what I've seen, he's more than crazy enough to decide to go out and push out 40-something marathons without any training. Glad to hear he's talking us up over there!

I can kill you with this tray...

I wonder if he paints his toenails (...least, I hope he does).

Cake or death,
